From the Apple iPhone 15 to the Samsung Galaxy S23 series and many more. 2022 was a fantastic year for smart devices. Still, the tech industry never sleeps or gets lazy to launch new technology and features, so we’re already looking forward to 2023’s handsets – many of these are launching and announcing their unique shaping up, which will be very exciting.
Rumours and Leaks mean we’ve previously heard a fair bit about key handsets, like the Samsung Galaxy S23 and iPhone 15. They assuredly rank among the most predicted phone series of the new year 2023. But there are less evident yet no less thrilling upcoming phone series, too, from other brands, including Xiaomi, Sony, and many more.
So see the details below; you’ll find the phones we’re most looking forward to in 2023. These phones are unique – we expect many to make it into our best phones series guide – and very slightly, should be interesting, unusual, or innovative.
Samsung Galaxy S23
The Samsung Galaxy S23 and their similar series – the Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra – are suitable to be the most popular Android flagships of 2023. We expect them to prompt in the year 2023, presumably in February.
According to the reports, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra series could get an intelligent 200MP camera, and each S23 model series will use a Snapdragon 8 Generation 2 chipset worldwide rather than a few regions getting certain.
Behind that, some specs might not be within a million miles from those of the series of S22. However, they expect camera and screen improvements, even with similar core specs. You can see an unconfirmed render appear in the reported design of the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Google Pixel 8
The Google Pixel 7 only launched in October’22, but it and the Pixel 7 Pro are so superior that we’re already eager to look at what Google prepares for the Pixel 8.
So far, we have yet to hear much about this device; other than that, it will be practical to use a Tensor 3 chipset, support satellite communications, and have 12GB RAM. Still, we expect class-leading cameras and generally robust software. Stay tuned for more info because leaks and rumours will emerge significantly as we get closer to the phone’s launch.
iPhone 15 Ultra
The entire iPhone 15 line is highly anticipated. Still, the iPhone 15 Ultra’s intriguing talk excites us most.
According to rumours, this phone could land instead of an iPhone 15 Pro Max. It could be better in camera than even the Apple iPhone 15 Pro, including a long-range periscope snapper, a focus on battery life, and a metallic frame, and very costly. This will be out in September 2023 if it lands. Still, it’s a phone you must save for, as the Apple series, iPhone 15 Ultra, could be highly overpriced.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is the place to be Samsung’s upcoming foldable flagship. Still, we expect to see it in August 2023, so wait a while. As such, we have yet to learn much about it, but a timely leak points to it utilizing the powerful Snapdragon 8 Generation 2 chipset and the brilliant camera as the Galaxy Z Fold 4.
If there is nothing else, wait for it to have a big foldable display to become an instant tablet, coupled with a comparably hefty cost.
Sony Xperia IIV
The Sony Xperia IIV was the first of the numerous exciting smartphones in 2022, thanks to a continuous visual zoom camera. That’s a feature you will not find on any other brands or devices, and it helped Sony’s flagship support out from the audience.
So far, we haven’t heard anything about the Xperia 1 V. Still; we expect it to provide comparably not usual cameras, plus a great display and flagship power – besides with, hopefully, some creative surprises. Look out for it around the middle of the year 2023.
OnePlus 11
The OnePlus 11 will land within the first few months of 2023. Leaks suggest it won’t be attached by an independent OnePlus 11 Pro – or preferably, the OnePlus 11 will be the OnePlus 11 Pro in all but now.
So, presume this phone engages with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra or Plus, despite the reported lack of a Pro, Ultra suffix, or Plus. The rumours point to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, up to 16GB RAM, a 6.7-inch QHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen, a 5,000mAh battery with 100W charging, a 50MP primary sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP telephoto one with 2x optical zoom. The unofficial render above shows you how the OnePlus 11 might look.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5
Along with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, we’re also looking forward to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, which is likely to be the better seller of the two, thanks to a more palatable price.
This upcoming clamshell foldable phone will reportedly use the top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, have a 3.3 or 3.4-inch cover screen (up from 1.9 inches on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 ), and a less visible crease than the current model. That sounds very promising, but Samsung will have its work cut out to stay at the top of the clamshell foldable heap, thanks to tough competition from Oppo and Motorola.
